    Re/Max Anchorage

RE/MAX International is based in Denver, Colorado and oversees a network of more than one hundred fourteen thousand agents in more than sixty countries. This company was founded by Dave and Gail Liniger in 1973 driven by their dissatisfaction with the way real estate business was conducted at the time. Most real estate offices at that time used the commission-split system which required sales professionals to forfeit half of their commissions to their brokers in trade for an office environment and company services, resulting to most top salespeople leaving the business within two years and compromising a large part of inexperienced and unprofessional staff to the industry.

The Liniger's wanting to change all that, believed that to attract and retain the best agents in the business, brokers must offer them maximum compensation, advanced support services and the freedom they needed to succeed. Having the agents share office overhead and management fees in return for a wide variety of traditional real estate franchise services and high commissions was a strategy that worked.

RE/MAX has grown for more than thirty years and has been recognized but the homebuying and selling public for its red, white and blue hot air balloon logo. It has been the leading industry force in the United States and many other regions and the No. 1 residential real estate network in Canada since 1987. The most important growth for RE/MAX in recent years was the expansion outside the US into Asia, Australia, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico, New Zealand, and South America. They have taken their proven techniques and adapted them to local markets thus developing invaluable tools for the real estate professionals.

RE/MAX has also treasured community participation at all levels of the organization, from individual associates to corporate headquarters. They have cause marketing and charity foundation taking on many forms. Two of RE/MAX's prime beneficiaries are Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Children's Miracle Network.

The RE/MAX network is made up of more than seventy regions varying from an entire country to a metropolitan area. RE/MAX Anchorage is one of the places where it has become a home of real estate leaders. They have put into RE/MAX Anchorage the same concept that combines maximum commissions and best support services to attract the top agents and increasing the top newcomers to real estate.

RE/MAX Anchorage in Alaska was founded in 1981 having the first office in Anchorage. RE/MAX now has ten Alaskan communities independently owned and operated offices with over one hundred sixty four associates to serve the real estate needs. RE/MAX Anchorage's broker and regional director is Mark Korting, and the office of RE/MAX Anchorage is located at 110 West 38th Avenue, Suite 100.
