The modern Queen Beatrix International Airport is Aruba's airport that can accommodate commercial jet aircrafts as big as the Boeing 747. Aruba airport is served by a number of airlines, and connections can be made in any part of the world.

The departure tax of Aruba airport is US $36.75 to the United States which is usually included in the purchased airline ticket, all other destinations has a departure tax of $33.50. Aruba's airport is also served by seasonal charter flights coming from Newark, Baltimore, Orlando, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Loisville, and Stewart Newburgh. There year-round charters coming from Chicago, Detroit, Boston, and Hartford as well. Charter service is available in Canada through Skyservice.

Aruba airport has high-tech facility which is a result of a multimillion-dollar restoration and expansion project that has made the Queen Beatrix International Airport a well-known hub in the Caribbean. Connections can be made to any part of the globe as Aruba airport is served by a number of airlines. Passengers bound for the US benefits from their own terminal building that houses US INS/Customs facility permitting Aruba flights to enter the US as domestic flights.

The terminal for US bound passenger's terminal building has forty-two check-in counters, US Customs, and immigration pre-clearance facilities. For international non-US bound passengers, they also have a terminal building that has twenty-four check-in counters. Aruba airport also has three-level open space with airline operational space and one 'remote' hold room at ground level, eight passenger boarding bridges with lounges at the second level, immigration corridor for arriving passengers at the third level, on hand terminal building remodeled to form 'new arrivals only' hall with Aruba immigration and customs, airport administrative offices, external ticket sales offices, and flight information display systems and terminal signage.

Passengers should take note that there is US pre-clearance and it is not possible to transfer directly to a US-bund flight. Transferring passengers has to follow full procedures for check-in for the connecting flight and therefore pays the same charge as passengers coming from Aruba.
