    Family Travel - step 1

So you’ve got a great family, with a good wife and loving kids. Hmmm…you may be thinking about traveling outside your hometown for something exciting and unique. What about taking a family travel to The Land Down Under? Wondering what it was? It’s none other than Australia.

Australia has long been considered as a perfect vacation destination for a family travel. It has all the wonders that every family may need to ask for – great and stunning sceneries, funny and friendly animals, adrenalin rushing watersports, and of course the silly way that the locals talk. If you’ll combine all of these things, you can truly say that Australia is a place worthy of family visit.

Visiting to Australia for a family travel can be one of the most important decisions you can ever make in your family life. It’s a rewarding experience, so to say. As mentioned earlier, there are a lot of wonderful sights to see and explore in Australia, plus the fact that all of these wonders are pretty educational. So you are not only the ones who will benefit for it, but also your kids.

So you’ve made up your mind and you now find yourself interested to go for an Australian family travel. Well, that’s great! However, note that traveling to Australia with the whole family can be a bit hassling. You have the kids to take care of, plus you are not sure if the weather or the natural condition will cooperate with the course of your own travel. It is for this reason basically that a careful and proper vacation planning is very much needed.

Yes, you heard me right. There’s no other better idea to consider than to take a careful trip planning before you decide to get onboard. This is just a matter of getting ready for all the challenges and consequences that may occur. Nevertheless, planning should not only be decided by you alone. It would be best if you’ll include your wife and your children on making the decision. So if you are serious with your Australian family travel, start planning as early as now.

Oops! Wondering how and where to start? Below are some of the most helpful ways to consider for making the most of your Australian family travel.

Step #1: Obtain Your Passports and Visas

Passports and visas are two of the most important requirements for entering Australia. Both adults and children who are planning to visit the country are required to obtain these entry requirements for them to enter and do their own business in Australia. I bet those who have already left from home before know this fact.

The passport can be obtained in varying ways. If you are traveling to Australia with a travel agency as your guide, obtaining your passports can be easy. The agency can get it for you, however, for certain charges. Typically, the travel agencies will charge you for about P1, 000 to P1, 500 just for the passport processing, which can be completed in three ways: normal (for 1 month), rush (for two weeks), and expedite (for five days). Note that if you want to obtain your passport in the fastest way possible, you may need to pay much for the processing alone. As what many people have said, the faster the processing will be, the higher the fee.

It is further worth noting that when applying for the travel passport of your kids, it is wise to accompany it with the mother’s passport. In this way the processing will be faster than usual for the reason that no further requirements are needed. You will not be asked to make and present an affidavit asserting that the mother of your child is granting her kid to go out of the country alone with the father. Be ready to present also the authenticated birth certificate, as well as your marriage certificate from the Census. Obtaining these documents may also charge you for certain fees.

Aside from passport, also get your visas. The visa can be obtained from the Australian Embassy in your place. You can get it either by yourself or by your travel agency which will be willing to handle it for you for certain fees. If you want to obtain this document by yourself, you should go to the embassy and be ready to spend about a half day lining and waiting for your turn. The charge for processing and obtaining the visa may also vary depending on your condition. And, note that just like processing your passports, there are certain requirements for obtaining the visa. Included in the list are the following:

Income Tax Return (the latest record)

Bank certifications, which are needed as a proof for your capability to stay in Australia

Employer certifications with records of your salary, and approved number of days for your leave. This is also needed to ensure that you still have a job to return after you have visited Australia for a family trip.

    School certification for your kid

    Travel insurance

If you’ve got all these paperwork, you’ll surely be off to Australia free of any hassles.
