Of course I do, I mean it is a naturally occurring disaster. I think it is really sad when people lose thier lives and even more sad when they are trapped and have to experience the fear or that and not knowing what is in store for them. It is really sad and we should all remember them in a moment of silence.

By all means YES......it is a humanitarian issue, regardless where it took place. Please do not politicize it,natural calamities and disasters can occur on any part of this globe.
No one equated Hurricane Katrina with the events in Iraq. |

Yes, I feel sorry for the people trapped in China's Earthquake and almost broke into tears for them. It must be painful for them and this will be a event they never forget. I hope they get over it and more survivors can be found. I hope may God bless all the people trapped inside and may all those who pass away will go to heaven to meet GOD.

It is such an overwhelming disaster, the entire world feels sorry for them. The situation in Burma is so puzzling -- the people there are in desperate need and their rulers STILL won't let aid come into the country, unless it is filtered in through another Asian country. Such despotic fear is hard to understand.
It's going to be interesting to see if the wave of sympathy for China in the wake of the earthquake is going to affect the world's attitude toward the Beijing Olympics and the Tibetan protests....... |

Why wouldn't you be sorry?
From a different perspective: $15 Billion lost in damages. --US will be happy since this will probably come from Chinese economy 40K lost out of 1.3 billion = 0.03% of people lost--Some may be happy to see a cruel way to depopulated. |

I do, I feel very sorry, and very sad. China is such a wonderful country with a great culture, and people.
I know that the great people of China will overcome this very sad tragedy with great strength, and be even greater then before. God, bless China. |

My heart is breaking/aching all these days when I watch TV news
- saw a father digging and hoped to find his daughter's broken leg from the debris ... (he found her body without her leg so he kept digging). It is a lot more than just the word "sorry". |
