I am wondering on how much time should I allocate for visiting Castle Chillon once I arrive at Montreux train station. I am travelling from Geneva to Bern via Gloden Pass line and will arrive at Montreax at @ 12:40 PM. I have the option of taking the Panoramic Express at 3:45PM or at 5:45PM (last one) to Zweisimmen and from there to Bern. I am travelling with a Swiss Pass, so cost is not the problem.

Three hours are hardly enough to visit Château Chillon, still, it can be done. So take the last train to Zweisimmen. Have fun at Lake Geneva/lac Léman!

Take the second option. You want to stay about 2.5 hours at the Chateau, so you need the time to travel from Montreux to Chillon. It's worth while.
