I was wondering if is worth the expense of the card or should I pay as I go.

If you drink a lot of soda and can't do without it for a week, then, yes, it would be worth it. If you only need one or two a day, probably not.

You could check this out by going to CruiseCritic.com. Click on "Boards", then "Carnival Cruise Lines", where you can do a search for "soda card".

that all depends. remember, you can probably get by bringing a 12 pack or 2 with you onboard. Also, there are plenty of other free soft drinks. So if you still think you are going to need 4 or more soft drinks beyond what you bring and the free stuff in the buffet area then go for it.

Soda by the can is $1.75 so if you drink 3 or more sodas a day, the program is well worth it.

The soda card is not valid for room service.

The soda card provides for unlimited glasses of soda.

For me, personally- no. I was happy with the lemonade, tea, coffee, water, punch, and juices.

For my husband and kids- yep. They gotta have the fizzy sugar water. But my kids are teens, so I made them buy their own if they wanted one. For smaller kids, I wouldn't- unless I've already allowed them to become addicted to the stuff and don't want to hear the whining.

THE DRINK CARD IS WORTH IT IF YOU DRINK A LOT OF SODA. REMEMBER IT DOES NOT INCLUDE DRINKS JUST SOFT DRINKS. A CAN OF SODA IS ABOUT 2.00 PLUS TIP EVERYTIME YOU GET ONE.

i feel i wasted money on my card because the second we left port i craved for water more than tea...also they give you a lil tiny behind cup of soda and you have to keep asking for more! ugh it was so annoying. better off drinking water and drinking the free juice and tea.

If you are the type of person that likes to drink two or more sodas a day, then yes it is worth it. I think it is only like $5 a day, and if you buy pop individually, it is like 2 - $3 each. We usually get one whenever we cruise. Have a great time.
