    No it isn't a poor country. Hungary is the full member of EU. True is that there are some parts of Hungary where the locals of Gypsy origin are the less fortunate, but the lifestyle and heavy use of alcohol is the main culprit. Better to drive trough these places in high speed. (Take caution but, the domesticated animals and children are sitting on the road).

    No, its not poor. The only poor people there really are the Gypsies, and they are not real Hungarians. Money can be tight, but most people are pretty well off or at least make a decent living.

    my boyfriend is from hungary and it depends

    like most countries they have some poor parts and some rich parts

    there are poro hungarians too, dont believe is only the gypsies

    however is just like any other place on the planet

    some people rich, some people poor, some areas well off, some areas bad/
