    It's the biggest city in Europe so I'm sure there's a gay scene, but the government and the Orthodox Church are fairly hostile. The mayor has banned gay pride marches several years running, and described them as "satanic".

    It's hostile if you are rich and famous (and powerful). But if you are a regular kind of guy - I would not recommend you to mention/ or beheive it at all. Could have serious troubles for your health or even life...
