Matters what expensive is. Some stores are but others are cheaper. It is a little bit more expensive than America

More exspencive than in the states. Depending on what you are shopping for it could be a small difference or a huge difference.

Yup, especially when you consider the taxes, in most provinces the GST +PST is well over 10%. Compare that to no taxes in states like New Hampshire or Delaware.

expensive is a very relative term. People judge what expensive is differently. If you are from the U.S. you are going to find the shopping a little pricier. Everything is priced higher in Canada because our dollar used to be worth less. The prices still havn't changed even though our dollar is now almost equal to the American dollar. Its not too bad, it really depends where you are planning to shop and at what store. But it also depends what your shopping for. Keep in mind that we also have higher taxes.

If you are talking about the stores in general, you will find that there are so many different stores that it can't be judged as expensive or not expensive. There is a broad range of different stores. Ranging from a few bucks to thousands. It depends where you go and when you go.

    hope that helps

    As compared to what?
Depending on the region, goods, season, store, etc.
There are these great seasonal sales and you can get pretty good stuff for a very reasonable price.
