    Festivals In Trinidad: Blissful Cultural Reminiscence

    From the famous Trinidad Carnival to Christmas season, the exceptional Caribbean paradise can pride with a lively and energetic cultural legacy. The contribution of diverse ethnic groups that inhabited Trinidad and Tobago have blended to develop a very rich heritage in the field of dancing, music, cuisine and art. It also made the republic a hot place for customs in the paradise of Caribbean.

    The festivals in Trinidad are very much highly coveted and sought after, internationally. The two-day blast of colors, abandon and pageantry marks the celebration of Soca music, Calypso and Carnival. Steelpan, the indigenous musical piece of instrument, as well as the limbo dancing, east Indian classic, and chutney music are all creations of a lively heritage and effervescent people. Many of the festivals in Trinidad are renowned as naturally religious. Among these are the Hosay, Corpus Christi, Easter, Phagwa or Holi, Eid-Ul-Fitr, Christmas and the Divali.

    The Tobago Heritage Festival is considered a main event on the calendar of Trinidad especially the island of Tobago. Tobago is the real home of exceptional cultural festivals. The celebration usually takes about two weeks that launches from July to August. This is a yearly festivity of the paradise's heritage, and the celebration is rejoiced through foods, music, cultural songs and dance.

    Divali on the other hand is the largest festival in Trinidad, dedicated to the Hindu inhabitants. It is more known as the party of lights celebrated during the months of October to November. This national festival is distinguished for the triumph of light against darkness, showed by lighting the Deyas or small clay lamps.

    The country's Carnival celebration could also be the greatest showcase of the plethora of cultural and artistic expressions yet there are still a lot of festivals in Trinidad that are annually and festively celebrated.

    Among other celebrations and festivals in Trinidad that are most awaited are the Emancipation Day, Arrival Day, Shouter Baptist Liberation Day and numerous others that highlight the customs and traditions of every religious and ethnic groups. Most of the f?te of the festivals in Trinidad are aimed at commemorating the ancient rituals and tradition of the olden generation, which usually inhabited the place.

    Tourists and guests of the island can participate to any of the festivals in Trinidad. The warmth welcome of every Trinidadians will rid the shy away. Every visitor is welcomed to join in any activity or festival, especially in the country's multi-ethnic and multi-religious celebrations. The country's citizens feel a sense of pride just by being watched and admired by various people.
