The US Virgin Islands can easily be reached from anywhere in the world by air or sea with their convenient airport and harbor. Non-stop flights from major eastern U.S. cities such as New York, Atlanta and Miami are just three hours and a half or less, with several airlines offering regular services to the islands. There are also smaller airlines that offer flights to the islands. A number of major cruise lines run regularly from Miami and San Juan to St. Thomas and St. Croix throughout the year. Since St. John Island has no airport, the only access to it is by boat. There are ferries from St. Thomas which operate hourly and daily from Tortola, the largest and most populated of the British Virgin Islands. There are plenty of reasons to pick any US Virgin Islands beaches. For one, you will be amazed by the world-class beaches of white-powdery-sand and turquoise-blue waters which you can enjoy for swimming and water activities.
